I’ve lived in Bondi for 11 years and the love affair began from Day One. Landing from London there were three things that stood out to me about this town that I still love to this day.
1. The fact that a lot of the locals don’t wear shoes. I love that the streets are clean enough here that we don’t have to worry about trichinosis (Sex and the City fans will get my meaning here).
2. That the coffee is just sublime. A barista-made oat cappuccino is literally my life force in the morning and the taste and quality are reasons that this country has my heart forever.
3. The beach. Ahhh Bondi!! It’s 1km of golden sand, the sunrises from beyond Ben Buckler, North Bondi’s grassy knoll, the world-revered Icebergs pool and the Coastal Walk that takes you back and forth along this beautiful stretch of the East. Bondi is all about life outdoors and the photography opportunities are endless, just like the Summer. My favourite time of day is during golden hour in the mornings - catch the light at the right moment during an epic sunrise and I’ll be smiling all day.
